Well, like you said, not many of posts for people with no experience; quite a few for people with experience.
It is unlikely there are many B777 pilots around with less than 1000 hours total who are not currently bonded and happy at a major airline. Those minimums are DGAC regs normally, and frankly quite misleading. I agree that they should be more carefull and realistic when they post. There is one contract company looking for B777 captains that has had very misleading information posted for some time; I don't know why as they must get a heap of resumes, most of which would be useless.
I agree that it is puzzling at times though. Why would EK take pilots with the requesite jet time, with most of that their total time, when they could have highly qualified, highly employable pilots whom have been flying heavy turbo-props, as captains for years? You'd have to ask them.
Even though there are still a number of people looking to jump around to other carriers, and those people have the requesite qualifications to fill those seats that you speak of, there are at least two airlines in the India/Asia region I know of that have hired medium to large turbo prop pilots, right seaters no doubt, into the right seat of brand new Boeings within the last month. In one case it is self sponsored, in the other the airline pay's for the rating. . .however, both take a fair bit more work to land than emailing CV's and filling out online applications.
