Why not? Both parties mutually agreed to it, I just stood up for my organization's interests and achieved its demands. Contracts can be win-win you know. A contract must be mutually agreed upon to be legally valid. It cannot be coerced. Which is why everyone needs to vote down a contract that is not industry leading.

The problem with the airline industry is that unacceptable "compromise" is deeply ingrained in the defeatist culture of the employees. If you (the pilot group) believed in their unity, their self-worth, their professional value, then you would quickly realize there is no reason why you could not get an industry leading contract with every provision demanded built in, to include non-cleaning. Ever wonder why CEOs and VPs make more despite them being pretty mediocre? They spend their entire life and career fighting for pay and benefits.

Pardon the CNN link but Youtube has censored everything else.
