There is a possibility that the front panel in Delta’s 757/767-300 fleet will be “modernized” over the next few years. IF that happens, a logical next step would be to combine 7ER and 764 categories.



United flies them as a single category, and the 764 type rating is just “767”, like the -300, but to get the feds to buyoff on that, United has fairly constrictive variant currency requirements imposed by the feds.



The mod, if it happens, will be a 2-stage retrofit with new displays. UPS has already committed to this exact mod for all of their 757s and 767s.
