The contract specifics are in post number 15, but because of that, they will have to post a vacancy that closes (and is awarded) prior to the Recall/New Hire class on June 4.

Now whether or not that bid has any opportunities in LAX, I have no idea. But, borrowing from Dumb and Dumber, I'm saying there's a chance!!

The only part that is a curve ball on the timing is the potential Closing of LAX 777 which would drive a surplus announcement, and I don't think they would have a surplus bid open at the same time they have a vacancy bid open???? They said if the results of the NPDM to discuss the LAX 777 closing is that the base should close, then they would issue the Surplus notices this coming week. If that happens, I would think that the vacancy bid will happen immediately after the surplus closes (but maybe they would even overlap). Either way, the vacancy bid would have to be awarded before the June 4th class , and any unfilled vacancies on the bid could/would be used for the Furlough returns and New Hires.
