True statement. Both Larry and Gordon were nice guys but the pilots were played. Thread on another forum by a few reminiscing about the good ole days made me kinda sick as I recalled having no health insurance for 6 months of employment and being paid 50% when deadheading across the Atlantic(although this was “snapped up to 100% over time as part of a concessionary contract). I’m not sure what, about the late 1990’s-mid 2000’s at CAL was better than today.
