Yeah basically my experience as well. They work up the logbook review during indoctrination like it is the second coming of christ yet I honestly cant remember the examiner giving it more than a second look. I am sure they did and I just was excited to be getting it done, but it surely wasn't a big drawn out ordeal. In addition, I didn't have a traditional logbook, digital only and due to an issue many years ago, I had to provide 8710's to back up my data, so I would be a worst case scenario in terms of verifying everything.
