Gloopy, totally agree Scope's deficiencies are on us, but your conclusion is way too narrow. It
could mean we need better lawyers, or it
could mean we already had lawyers that said this was a possible outcome, and we as a pilot group/MEC/NC took the scope we had, with all its risks, because the deal was worth it. (Maybe the value of getting iron clad scope was something the company would never agree on. For example, Im sure the company would end all JVs, if capt pay capped at $125/hr)
Its no different than buying car insurance. 100/300 or 250/500 should be enough, all until you lose control and crash into the Bugatti dealership.
Sometimes things change that we and/or the company couldnt predict. Its not necessarily a lawyer problem.
