Kenn talks about "trapped pilots" is his book. He describes pilots that can't move on for one reason or another. Currently we are hemorrhaging pilots. We need to expand our pilot ranks by 160 pilots this year! Unfortunately we are currently having a net outflow. What has management done to slow the loss of pilots? They are handing out pink slips on check-rides like candy at Halloween. How can pilots with 10,000 hours with multiple type ratings and no UNSAT's on their record start accumulating UNSAT's faster than free food at the FBO? Just another show of desperation.
