Those are questions. I read my comment again and I don't see a question there so I'm confused as to how you thought I was asking anything. At no point did I disagree with your assertion that they would be disapproved. Although it might or might not happen.
My comment was not directed at you. I was just lamenting how as a group we often beat up on those who have SCABed an ALPA picket line or an ALPA authorized strike of another union picket line but let others who have done the same back into the union. I wouldn't let them in but I guess National needs the money.
Merger? Not really. Sure CAL gained the United SCABs. Some of those UAL SCABs wore pins. United gained the CAL SCABs and many of those wore pins.
I'm sure DAL doesn't have the problem with SCABs. Were any still on the property with the NW merger? I don't know. Did any of the few that SCABed at Pan Am in 85 end up at DAL? I thought I saw one on the cover of the ALPA magazine in a DAL uniform wearing a pin and being recognized for his union work. How many eal SCABs did DAL hire? How many strikers?
Not wanting to start a battle but instead just pointing out that it's easy to say we will not allow them in but it doesn't always work out that way.
Peace out.
1998 the airline was shut down for three weeks
No scabs....do some research of your own
But again a scab is a scab and a scab will always be a scab regardless
