There are also some other lower hour operators. I occasionally hear of someone getting picked up by Mokulele, Southern Airways Express, Air Choice One, and a couple at Air Cargo Carriers. All but the last one fly Caravans.

Not always. My friend that got hired on had a fresh part 141 commercial, so between flight school and a little flying on the side, he didn't have more than 250 hours. It's not advertised, and probably not the norm, but it's also not unheard of.
