No one will dispute EDV pays more. But a CFI right now just applying can be in OO ground next week. And be at Sprit in a year. Or upgrade and be at Delta in 2-3. That's quite an optimistic timeline you have there.
I'll also note that the pay disparity is even greater than the rates allude to due to the massive soft time differences between 9E and OO.
