The AA cadet academy is basically just AA putting their name on a flight training program. Benefits are having an AA mentor, better loan options than SallieMae/Wells Fargo, and if your end goal is AA then it may give you an edge over another equally qualified candidate since you trained through AA cadet academy. The Envoy cadet program isn't a training program, it's basically a job offer, at 500 hours you can interview and if accepted into the cadet program you can sign a contract to receive flight school tuition reimbursement and benefits, and at 1500 hours will be assigned to Envoy new hire class. So in theory you could train through AA cadet academy and apply for Envoy cadet program at 500 hours, at least to my understanding.
