The difference is we are now in a market where staffing regionals has become a problem. A few years ago Mesa was still able to fill classes at 22 bucks an hour.... Great lakes was still flying too.

Now Compass is behind the curve and may never fully catch up. If the trend continues the mainline partners will lose faith in Compass and move planes to somewhere they feel will be able to staff.

My guess on planes going back to a wholly owned is that they can quickly change incentives and have better quality control than by further outsourcing their regional flying.
