Man I missed the fly-slow conversation.
Flew with a LAX CA that flew all the long legs slow on AA flights, normally Around .70. His reasoning:
- we’re going to be 35 minutes early at .78, they won’t have a gate for us at LAX. So why arrive early and sit around with unhappy passengers?
- logging more flight time
- keeping historical block times longer
Honestly sounded great to me.
Of course in Seattle we fly at .80 because every single inbound aircraft is always 25 minutes late
