If it comes down to the NMB not agreeing that we are at an impasse. At that point, it becomes more critical for new hires to help the group and wait a little longer.
Thanks for the info. If a strike happens and a new hire is on probation are they fired? Quitting a job to get fired doesn’t seem like a good move.
