My personal opinion, I could be wrong but I don’t think ALPA would expect anyone to leave training. Ground school and SIMS do not create revenue for the company. For the guys on IOE, I’d venture to bet that you would not have an IOE instructor available for training. Either way, at that point, you would be expected to hold the line and stay home. Any probationary pilots fired during this time will be rehired after the strike. ALPA is very adamant that ALL pilots come back or none of us. If it is your intent to move on to a legacy carrier, consider it a badge of honor. I highly doubt any pilot on a hiring committee would frown upon you holding the line. If anything, it could help your chances.
