You have made the assumption that leadership has not initiated this. They have and it is why they have remained silent. Leaving it to their minions in their committee structure to carry forth their wishes. The ExCo leaving those individual members exposed to the legal ramifications. This is not unsimilar to taking everyone out that didn't vote for the new regime and executing them. Just as an example. Especially when you consider part of the current ExCo is an ex-Felon.
