I looked into Cobra, but naturally it was quite expensive. I did not review the plan the company offered but went to Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and will be paying $40/month with great coverage, a $250 deductible, and a $1 million max. I'm single, 27, and a non-smoker so your rates may or may not differ. On the website you can click on the upper right hand side of the page for a free quote. Hope that helps!
