True at United. Cabin cleaning is beneath the dignity of a professional airline pilot. Would a Lawyer sweep the floor at the big firm? A doctor clean the windows at the hospital? It’s a matter of professional respect. The company wants to normalize this behavior so all employees are seen as the same, and therefore not worthy of the pay and benefits you seek. Believe it, or don’t. I don’t care, but it’s how the corporate/HR mind set tried to keep the “widgets” in line.
