Was there some point in the past before I came to the airlines that the buddy passes weren’t semi-worthless? I can hardly give these things away when you can get a guaranteed seat on a ULCC for not much more.
Back in the day before the merger, D3s were cheaper and it was much easier to get on flights to most places. However, it still wasn't some crazy perk. I was more comfortable giving them out back then though. Now it's just not worth it.
