You're a CFI and worried about the transition from 70 knots to 140. You think you might need a few extra sims to get up to speed. Or you have been out of flying for a bit and need to get current and get your skills back. If Gojet/TSA/and/or Compass is going under but hiring then go there, get some sim time and a little line flying. If they go under you are all set to go to Endeavor, Skywest, Envoy, etc. You are up to speed and know the plane.

If the influx of pilots allows them to survive and grow, you can stay and enjoy the ride.

Gojet, the place to be!
Why wouldn't they just go to Skywest and Endeavor in the first place instead of wasting 3 months of their life waiting to get furloughed. Great advice from the guy on the Titantic telling people to get out of the life boat because it's not as crowded on the deck.
