There were 3 in my class - 1 washed out - and was then heading to PHX to try to get an interview at Mesaba before she had to leave the country.

I also think we're still bringing in a decent new hire size because of the new ATL base. The only other option for ATL is Endeavor and they've even stopped interviewing, much less having class dates 6+ months in advance.
Really? I was told that the US has an agreement with the government of Australia that allows quick and easy work visas for Australians wanting to work in the US, and vice versa. Many US regionals have recruiting efforts in Australia looking for pilots. I wouldn’t think that would happen if it took years.

Given that Australia has a population smaller than the State of Texas, 3 Aussies in a class from half way around the world sounds like a lot of pilots for a new hire class.

And, I am also pretty sure your washed out classmate got the job at Mesa.
