Ehhh....the long-standing and accepted practice in NYC has been 2 hours(ish) in
normal traffic from any one of the three (LGA, JFK, EWR). Can't help that 8 am call-out with an hour+ of traffic on the VanWyck ("They say no one's ever beaten the VanWyck...but gentlemen, I tell you this... I came as close as anyone ever has"). Many times scheduling will even authorize short-term parking (if you ask) which saves a lot of time at JFK and EWR...Laguardia, not so much these days.
