Let me tell you that as a conservative libertarian, the last thing I could be characterized is as a Marxist. Your understanding of the political system has many gaps. It is not Marxist to fight for your market value. A doctor demands a certain wage because he goes to school for a long time, has lots of recurrent testing, and has to endure a stressful job where lots of people's lives are at stake. Does that sound familiar? You're in an extremely technical job that requires substantial education. I for one am not ashamed of that. I will not work at McDonald's wages to give my employer the benefit of my skills and education. You must understand that we also are a market force. Jet fuel, maintenance, Cabin retrofits, tires, and blue chips all have a certain market value. Should Michelin sell tires to JetBlue for one dollar just because that's all JetBlue is willing to negotiate the first time around? Michelin can't work for free and neither can we. They will not get one of the most highly trained professionals in the world for Third World wages.
