I had friends in SUPT who chose the T-1 track when they could've chosen T-38s because they wanted to fly heavies. Some even wanted tankers believe or not. If you knew anything about the pecking order, you wouldn't sound so ignorant on a public forum. There's a reason why the Air Force is short of fighter pilots. Been there done that and it's not what's cracked up to be.
