When former XJT pilots attempt to "explain" to current pilots why they need to leave XJT ASAP it can sometimes come off as condescending, rude and arrogant. Its just like the 2016 election cycle...people will shut down and tune out what they don't want to hear, especially if they're lectured and are made to feel horrible about themselves for why they think the way they do.
Each person's situation is different and they all have to make choices in life based on different and ever changing variables. However, it is pretty clear (and sad) what is happening at ExpressJet and it would be wise for everyone still "clinging" to the hope that XJT will turn around to really take a hard look elsewhere, especially a ULCC. It goes back to the old saying of: "You can't afford not to".
