I honestly do not believe EDV has in the ability to handle anymore aircraft, especially another fleet type, right now. With all the hiring and expansion this year, they are playing catch up. Training has been messy.

I also don't believe the 3 carrier scenario as I do not think the three carriers mentioned can handle all the tasks with the resources they have. Keep in mind, it's an idea and the mother ship changes their mind a lot.

In my opinion, with JetBlue and Frontier pilot contracts coming, it will become more difficult to attract and retain people. I think with the summer slow down of hiring at the D, more pilots will go grab a seat at those carriers, as well as Spirit and Allegiant, and try from there.

Attaining another fleet would be a huge undertaking. Also, contract 2019 is around the corner at the D and that will throw a wrench in the works. I was not surprised by the Go-Jet deal. It was a great rumor, as is the EMB 170/175 which has been around a while. More of a carrot me thinks.

I would try for a wholly owned now. Two big reasons; one, the flow! Two, if the music stops where would you want to spend the time waiting? That bird in the hand thing I keep hearing about.

Right now, we honestly aren't sure what is going to happen at EDV as we keep expecting announcements etc. Maybe expect the unexpected? I would NOT expect anything more this year though.
