We really need to stop these games with regard to recruiting. We’ve been playing the “keep on doing what you’re doing” game to some highly qualified candidates at job fairs over the last 5 years and barely hired while Delta, SWA, FEDEX, etc have hired massively. Now we are going to waste everyone else’s time by inviting the top applicants to another job fair vs getting to the point and inviting them for the real interview.
I cannot agree with you more. Application, score, interview, hire or reject. You'll know in the first ten minutes of the interview if you want to share a cockpit with someone on a 16 hr flight.

Regarding job fairs, I can think of circumstances where extremely qualified candidates are hard pressed to make these events. Do we just write them off?
