With that said I still stand by my opinion that the top applicants should be going straight to an interview, not a job fair. If they are our top applicants you bet your bottom dollar they are in the wheelhouse of the other big, high paying airlines. Again, let’s not waste their time with a job fair before someone like Delta or SWA snatches them up. Or we can keep kicking the can down the road with these highly qualified pilots. I mean we do have CFI’s going through training at TK as we speak, so there is that.
Do you think they are delaying hiring so they can wait for the job fair? Because that isn’t happening. You also assume these are the top applicants. There are probably dozens of not a hundred or more invites in the chute. Finally, fully half of these invites are family of united pilots and employees. I’m going to say that’s a good thing.
