Keep in mind the Bus has a boatload of trips (at least 50% in recent months) of 30+ hour layovers, which I personally find absolutely horrific, but work well for commuters (I don’t). For example, start your trip late afternoon on day one, and end up in XYZ late. Then you have the whole next day off, with an OMYGOD:30 departure on day three and finish mid afternoon. The Bus tends to be more junior in EWR as well, and you MAY move up the list faster to a line. But the trip mix on the Guppy is better for sure. I have flown both and personally feel the Bus is a more “gentlemanly” airplane (roomier, quieter, doesn’t have space shuttle re-entry speeds on final, etc), but I don’t want to turn this into a “Bus vs Guppy” thing. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. FYI, I’ve been here 5 years and switched to the Bus about 3 years ago for better seniority. I’m currently around 10-15% on the Bus, but I’d still be in the mid-40%-ish range on the Guppy. Seniority is everything!!
