It's fun to poke fun at the uniforms, but there have been other companies with hideous uniforms and look who's laughing now?

The part that made CE750's other posts, and his decision to go to Skybus lucid, is the fact that he is on furlough from an airline that has survived for 75+years. He is not anticipating recall for a year and a half or so, and even then he can probably defer recall for some amount of time.

This changes the risk/reward equation substantially - in fact - he would be a fool not to take a flyer and perhaps the options will be worth something. This is only the case because he has significant downside protection. Someone that does not have this protection would need to look at the equation much differently.
