Hes talking about people making lateral moves to other regionals. Not LCCs or legacies. Without speaking to each and every resignation its really impossible to know if this is an upward career move or a lateral one for them.
In 2016 pre-United CPA FOs were leaving for lateral jobs in large numbers. I think post CPA we lost a few already on property to the AA WO for those tied to PHL/ORF that wanted to not commute. I don’t know of anyone hired post CPA that are making lateral moves - but as said we have no way of knowing.
