Isnt hiring something you have to lead by a long time for any growth to happen? They have to over staff in the short term, so longer term growth doesn’t leave airplanes sitting. Hire a bunch of newbies, get the ETOPS training going, then ramp up the captain upgrades, then add more airplanes, routes, redeyes. Seems like a planning process to me, and a stack of new FOs is the cheapest and longest lead time part of the puzzle.
