[QUOTE=NightIP;2616856]Brother, my statement was just to point out that UB isn't a cash cow, and that the UB/FPL conspiracy theory is simply a lie. I'm always happy to show my meager pay stubs to anyone I fly with who thinks otherwise.
Never said it was a cash cow (definitely wasn't for me), just that it was getting abused. It only takes a few to screw the party up for all. 2015 $660K, 2016 $1.1M, 2017 $1.272 M in UB pay. 2017 had about six months of the company giving us credit for 200 hrs a month under the framework agreement that is not reflected in these numbers. So if we didn't have the framework agreement UB would be higher than $1.272M. You can pick through the
LM-2 to see who is getting the most.
Usually, the stewards were never a problem when we were tracking that. Sorry you got zapped with R1 to fill the unused gaps but looking at all the stewards schedules I have right now, few get three days of R1 some one or two. Most list for VX. Since I don't post anything here against the Teamsters social media policy or the employee handbook social media policy, so I can't give better details. Although, sampling shows that the average Joe-pilot gets shafted with R1 to stop their CRT clock at the same rate as Stewards do when they pull UB on the remains of their parings. So your not getting ahead or behind compared to your brothers/sisters though you get a little more than them (5.0 vs 4.85 hrs per day of UB).
I know they park me on the road as hidden reserve (multiple DH/Comercials) or at home on R1 around the 14th day regularly. Especially if I'm getting close to guarantee.
Just saw the latest Chairman's update today. Foreshadowing the reality of having to do this through the arbitration process since the company won't really negotiate. Kind of saw that coming long ago. We still need to send our guys to close what they can though. Keeps the arbiters hands off TA'd parts generally.
