I still think the NMB is going to want another "marathon" mediation session. I do not expect a proffer. The company moved towards the 'reasonable' in the last 2 sessions. I don't see them seeing an impass. I think they see the company negotiating in bad faith, but the company has moved in our direction, perhaps just enough to not be seen as being at an impass. (This is my fear)

Perhaps the board is doing what they need to do before they are willing to proffer arbitration. Conducting studies of the impact of a work stoppage. God knows the government loves to do impact studies before they do anything.

I think we will get one more, final mediation session. If no deal is reached at the end of that session they will proffer. By the conclusion of the final mediation session, we will be so close to a deal that they will feel confident that we can reach a deal during the cooling off period. The deal will be reached on day 29 of the cooling off period likely in October.*

Also: even if we are allowed to strike, Trump will probably intervene and stop the strike. If you think he's on our side and not managements side, you don't know Trump.
