This is true. There was a lot of back and forth between the moderators, when there was still use of moderators on the 1224 web forum on how to proceed with many posts that had a dissenting opinions. Rather than approve posts, certain moderators denied them claiming it violated terms of service.

The forum became very unpopular quickly after inception because it took longer than posters were willing to wait for approved posts hence it went widely unused. But, even if it were shut down only because of 2 or 3 "long winded" posters, it lends credibility to SI's claim of censorship. It should NEVER have been shut down because of a difference of opinion.
