Ups also has limited subcontracting spelled out. Ie. like the majors pax airlines. IPA pilots are not required to fly say a shorts 360 or the hundreds of smaller aircraft UPS uses everyday to move the cargo.
What was not agreed upon in contract talks is the land grab UPS is now attempting.
With no enforceable scope clause UPS will run roughshod over its pilot group.
You are correct. That is the BIG difference. The subcontracting that is occurring right now at UPS was NOT agreed to.
UPS doesn't give a crap about its employee agreements. If they think they have a better way to do things, they will ignore and violate an agreement.
