Because the “day and the pay” in the TA refers to having the pay for the junior man as well as a pay protected day in lieu.
This is different. In this case, you are wrong. It’s not a personal attack, just a statement of fact. You will not lose 1 hour of pay if you take a day in lieu on a 7 credit hour day when your JM credit is 6 hours. You will be paid for the 7 hour day, not the 6 hour day.
Conversely if you take a day in lieu worth 3 hours and your JM credit was 12 hours, you will have a net increase of 9 hours for your monthly credit (12-3=9).
