Get your CFI. Military equivalency transfer. Start doing some outside flying.

Some of the majors will hire you if you have 100 hrs of flight time in the previous year IF the rest of your resume is appropriate. For awhile it was in "something at least an RJ size". That changed to "anything." "Anything" isn't that tough a hurdle.

It might be worth tens, or hundreds, of thousands if you get hired earlier.

Start yesterday.

A regional will hire you in a heartbeat. Getting 121 experience is the best thing you can do to improve your resume once you retire.

Good luck and enjoy the ride.
