Yes, 12-year olds CAN ride in first internationally provided they are accompanied by an adult (18+) pass rider. The cutoff is age 8.

After 15 they can do it solo internationally.

There is no age restriction on domestic flights provided they are with an adult.

Sure. If you don’t get F you automatically get E. No harm in at least trying. So always list in F unless you have a very specific reason not to (example: kids). Some folks only list in E to avoid charges—-this is not an issue for vacation passes.

The opposite is NOT true and I have personally witnessed an employee make the mistake of listing in E. They were senior to me so I was happy for us to take the seats in F while their group was left at the gate.
