Ms Pina? I think the probability is pretty low that she'd tell a reporter on the record; "Yeah, I had another episode in which I drank till I passed out and got taken off a flight, and now I'm being fired". Alaska Airlines? Not going to get anything more than "We don't publicly discuss internal personnel issues".
There might be other ways to corroborate the information. I'm always amazed at how much information investigative journalist can dig up for a story.

Of course, it requires the editorial will and resources. I imagine, if that ain't there in this case, that story will not see the light of day..
