I’ll pick the one that provides the best schedule. Most people in this country work much harder than we do for less than we pay in taxes. I don’t think that life on the 737 qualifies as suffering. Flying either plane for what we make is a pretty good life. We’re the lucky ones.
Well, I used to unload trucks, stock grocery shelves, drive a fuel truck, etc. So what? Given that most people in the country don't possess an ATP, nor the experience necessary to even apply for this job I don't think this point has merit. I don't make what an anesthesiologist makes, a Wall Street type, or what a Pilot Ships Captain makes at any of the nations big ports. I don't compare my workload and compensation to them. Likewise, I don't feel a tinge of guilt for what I make compared to my neighbors. They could have jumped through the same hoops that we did. After all, it's simple, right? We're currently in negotiations, and I want a big raise. I'm still making up for the lost decade (and a half)

I’m a f/o on 12 year pay. Based on 80 hours a month I earn about $178,000. Add the $28,000 for my B-fund, insurance, and an average 15 days off per month, I really don’t think the 73, 37, guppy.... is that bad.
