I dunno. I came from the 757 to the 777 and thought the 777 worked a lot better. I've seen countless people finger bang the vnav into uselessness instead of letting it do it's thing while keeping it engaged, though.

Agreed. Just let it do it's thing is the best method, but most can't resist the temptation to meddle. That's when it gets interesting. And those are the guys that supposedly know how to work it!
