Most European and Eastern European carriers require citizenship, EU license, and something like 500-2000 hours in type (unless you have a citizenship, that's when they can probably drop it all....have buddies who started on 737's with as little as 300 hrs TT...one became a captain in 4 years, the other moved to Dubai to fly 777 for Emirates). Most Asian and Middle Eastern carries want you to have 1500 hrs in turboprop or jet weighting over 40 tons (or something in between those lines).
