This is ALPA merger policy. Trying to match pre-merger status with post-merger status. Captain = Captain. F/O = F/O. and yes....furloughed = furloughed. If you look at the AWA/AAA award, this policy was followed to the letter. DOH and longevity are not even mentioned. Future w/b awards are weighted towards the East guys, and n/b awards are 1 for 1. As fair as could be expected. Trying to de-certify ALPA will probably fail but even if it is sucessful, I bet they will not get this award overturned. At least not for the 5 or 10 years it will take to get through the legal challenges. They should just move on and try to get a good contract now. JMO.
