I dont think they'll have trouble getting guys. I was on a commute the other day. Sitting in the jumpseat on the ERJ175. Both the SkyWest Captain (2006 DOH) and FO (not sure how long he'd been at SkyWest) accepted the job at F9 and seemed really excited.
I feel bad for them because that wears off REAL quick. Too soon your waiting and waiting and waiting only for things to keep getting worse. One setback after another (via a lack of progress) while the company puts one bad-faith step in front of the other towards this pilot group. And the union is totally neutered and useless because the process with the NMB is so illegitimate and rigged. The operation was already a wreck and now the company is sabotaging it purposefully and getting malicious against individual pilots.
All this, your hotel bill, and $1,100 every two weeks. No thanks if I had it to do all over again.
Hopefully they've got time to reconsider.
