Domestic base COLA not going to happen. What would benefit most UAL pilots?

How about a "commuter allowance". This would cost you money. Positive space domestic commute. Check that box for a fixed amount of money each month. 100 dollars per commute? 50?

Even the JR 777 Captain on reserve in PHX would rather sit around his pool in boxers and black socks at home, than in his crashpad.

What percentage of UAL pilots commute? Years ago I heard it was 2/3. Now I don't know. If it benefits the majority of pilots, why not take a look outside the box.

I don't like UPS's system. Most pilots would just pocket the money, and still jumpseat.

Since most UAL domiciles are not affordable, why not make commuting easier? Maybe give up a few bucks per hour, for all of us, and give all of us the option?
