Just to add some as yet unmentioned info, part of the GUM stipend is offset by the way its trips are credited. We have multiple 2day (overnight) trips that credit less than 10 hours, some as low as 5. Granted, this does not impact pilots off all seniority equally, but many of us are working 2 day trips that would be worth 10 hours in SFO for 5-8 hours a piece. That loss of 2-5 hours per trip basically pays for the stipend, if you do the math.
