That's pretty easy to answer and a CAL issue.
The CAL recalls occurred PRIOR to the UPA under the CAL contract. By the time the UPA was in force all the CAL furloughees had been recalled and CAL did not have the 10-year bypass.
So in summary, it was all LUAL's fault.
Not at all L-UAL’s fault at all but something that should be corrected and not ignored.
