And this right here is why I refuse to ever sit in a jump seat (or non rev) again and I buy tickets when I want/need to go somewhere. The politics and BS that go on with the gate agents, FA's, the other pilots listed for it and the CA for a jump seat isn't worth a free seat anywhere. I always get on in the seat I choose in the clothes I want to wear and my stress is minimal. If that means living in base so I don't have to commute (a base I can afford) then so be it.
